The Nocturnes du Terroir ended in Sierck-les-Bains with a particularly positive result. Once again the public turned out in large numbers, with good attendance and a convivial atmosphere throughout the evening.
In our conversations, several shopkeepers and exhibitors expressed their satisfaction. Lots of people, encounters, discoveries and above all a desire to bring the town to life: this edition confirms once again how important these summer events are for local dynamism.
This success also highlights the efforts of the town of Sierck-les-Bains and of all the players and officials involved to bring the town to life. Initiatives that also help bring neighbouring regions closer together.
Because one of the most striking features of this edition was undoubtedly its cross-border character. Among the visitors we met people from Perl in Germany and Schengen in Luxembourg, among others. Even more surprising: several vehicles with Belgian and Dutch number plates could also be seen around the event, a sign that the public comes from beyond the Three Borders.
French, Germans, Luxembourgers and visitors from a little further afield thus came together at the same event. The language barrier was hardly felt: people talked quite naturally, in a friendly, convivial atmosphere.
A fine example of what Sierck-les-Bains can offer when local events, lively shops and cross-border openness come together.
A successful edition that already makes us look forward to the next Nocturnes du Terroir!
