CROSS-BORDER WORKERS: between traffic jams, determination and opportunities.
Every morning, thousands of people set off from France to Luxembourg.

Every morning, thousands of people set off from France to Luxembourg. From Sierck-les-Bains, Bouzonville, Thionville or neighbouring towns: cross-border workers are part of everyday life in the Greater Region.
Their day often starts very early. For some, even before sunrise. Then it's onto roads where traffic jams are almost routine. And yet, despite the kilometres, the tiredness and the vagaries of traffic, they keep going with the same determination.
Being a cross-border worker doesn't just mean crossing a border. It's choosing a job, a career, professional stability or new opportunities. Every day, Luxembourg attracts workers from many sectors: health, construction, industry, finance, retail, hospitality, transport and IT.
But this reality also has its downside. The many hours on the road, the cost of travel, family logistics and fatigue are a real daily challenge.
Despite everything, these women and men play an essential role in our region. They contribute to Luxembourg's economic dynamism while keeping alive the shops, associations and towns where they live on the other side of the border.
At Radio Tripoint, we wanted to pay tribute to these people who connect our three countries every day. Behind every vehicle there is a story, a family, a job and above all a determination that deserves respect.
