Spain are the 2026 world champions!

Spain are back at the top of world football. On Sunday evening, La Roja won the 2026 World Cup final 1–0 against Argentina, claiming their second world title sixteen years after their first triumph in South Africa in 2010.

In a hard-fought, intense final, the Spanish showed control, unity and great efficiency to overcome the defending champions. The victory rewards a talented generation that marked the whole tournament with the quality of its play.

Among the main architects of this success was, once again, Lamine Yamal. A true revelation of world football, the young Spanish prodigy confirms his enormous potential and is now one of the faces of this new golden generation.

This 2026 World Cup will also be remembered for the remarkable runs of several teams, including France, who reached the semi-finals and finished fourth after losing to England in the third-place play-off.

With this new title, Spain write a new chapter in their history and confirm their return to the circle of the world's greatest football nations.
