Today, 18 March, is Global Recycling Day 🌍♻️

In the Three Borders between France, Luxembourg and Germany, recycling is already firmly part of daily life.

In Luxembourg, waste sorting is particularly advanced, with systems such as municipal recycling centres and very well-organised separate collection.

In Germany, especially in nearby Saarland, the bottle deposit system allows plastic and glass to be recycled efficiently while also giving people a financial incentive.

On the French side, efforts are also being made with waste sorting and local recycling centres, even if there is still room for improvement.

One region, three countries… but one common goal: to reduce waste and protect our environment.
